Tending the Fire

In Balkan folk belief, a smok who lives to see one hundred years becomes a Zmey – no longer just a creature of tradition, but its protector.

That is one of the reasons why I chose the mythical Zmey as the name for my highest paying tier on Patreon. As protectors of my work, their name is listed here, among those who tend the flames.

Thank you!
